Centrotextil was founded in 1946 as an export-import enterprise for textile. All the way through 1970's these transcations were the only company's activity.
 
In the 1970's Centrotextil expanded its activity towards retail chain stores offering various fashion products, from footwear and leather products to clothing. It became the most important Yugoslavian fashion chain with 133 stores and department centers.
 
In early 1980's the footwear export to the USSR reached the level of 20 million pairs a year, all in collaboration with the domestic producers and renown West European producers. The Centrotextil representative branch offices abroad reached its peak in 1989 - with the total of 22 enterprises and representative offices.
 
In 2007 the international corporation ZEPTER Group acquired Centrotextil, Zepter Group envisioned redefinition of the company's image and product offering. Its vision is focused on high quality products, mainly imported from Italy. In 2008 opens 4 multibrand store in the main pedestrian street of Belgrade, offering exclusive shoes and accessories by Luciano Padovan, high quality businesswomen clothing VERONICA DAMIANI, fashionable Italian brand LIST Roma, high quality men's shoes MORESCHI. At the same time in 2008 opens its door to the top luxurious brand BALLY in the heart of Belgrade.
 
Today, with its 40 retail points Centrotextil heads to enlarge the monobrand chain philosophy, searching for new brands which are offering high quality products at right price.
